We are always looking for opportunities to strengthen partnerships and work together with the wider community of Greater Shepparton to ensure better access to information, services, and opportunities for our African community members.
Our volunteer program also provides unique opportunities for relationship building and experiences where stereotypes and myths are busted.
Community Garden
The community garden was established in 2017 by African and non-African community members as part of a larger program with the Ethnic Council of Shepparton & District and the Department of Justice.
A Taste of African Cultures
The concept for the festival is to showcase African cultures to the Shepparton community, break down barriers of fear, mistrust, and racism and inform the community that Africa is not one but 54 countries and Africans are not all the same but come from diverse cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds.
